Asexualise Academy is a continuously evolving online education platform for Asexuals and Asexuality, helping asexuals to live a sex free life they love, through personal and professional development. Providing beautiful online courses, products and services.

Asexualise Academy uses web-based applications provided by a third party (Invanto), to provide the best user experience and product and services offers. Asexualise Academy also offers community, blog, testimonial sections etc. for user engagement. All such products, applications, websites, are collectively called “Services”.

This Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use any personal information about you when you use our Services.

Users below 18 years

If you are under the age of 18, you are not permitted to use the Services without parental or guardian consent. Children who are 13 and under, may not use this site at all.

Why We Collect Your Personal Information

We collect your personal information because it helps us to deliver a superior level of customer service, and to gain a better understanding of you, our customer, and thus provide a more valuable service. It enables us to give you convenient access to our products and services and focuses on categories of greatest interest to you. Also, your personal information helps us to determine how best to provide useful information to you, our customers, and to understand which parts of our websites, products and services, are of most interest to you. It enables us to keep you informed of the latest news, products, resources, articles, announcements, events, and special offers that may interest you and you may like to hear about.

Although our company is based in the UK and this policy is made under UK law, our website host and additional services, are situated in America, and many of our third party processes, such as for our courses or products, are handle by companies outside the UK. By providing personal information to us through our websites, you understand and consent to the collection, maintenance, processing, and transfer of such information in and to all countries and territories.

We endeavour to collect and use your personal information only with your knowledge and consent, and typically when you join our Asexualise Academy Tribe, order and subsequently use our products and services, make customer enquiries, register for an event, register for information or other services, request product information, or when you respond to communications from us such as emails, questionnaires, or surveys. We use third party data processes to do this for us.

Information about transactions made on our platform and data that you provide

We collect the following information about you when you register on our website.
1. Your Name
2. Your Email
3. Your Credit or debit card (last four digits), and other card information; other authentication and account information, contact and billing details, when you make a purchase / and PayPal details if using PayPal to make or receive payments.

This information is stored by us and is associated with your account.

Whether you are a consumer or seller, we collect the content, communications and other information you and / or your customers provide when they use our products and services, create or share content, and message or communicate with others through our sites, social media, or services.

You can choose to provide testimonial information in Profile and Settings page about your experience with Asexualise Academy and can also upload your profile picture and / or Video. Website usage information is collected using cookies, which includes your IP address.

Gravatar – We use Gravatar for your profile image that follows you from site to site.

Usage and Analytics

Our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our site, applications and services. This data is recorded in log files. Examples of such data include IP Address.

To give you a seamless experience, for example, by filling automatically your information (such as your name, email id) from one Asexualise Academy product when you sign up for an account on a different product.

Google Analytics – We currently use Google Analytics to collect information anonymously and report website trends without identifying individual visitors. We use Google Analytics for analytics and measurement to understand how our services are used. For example, we analyze data about your visits to our sites to do things like optimize courses, product, and service creation.

How will we use the information about you?

Lawful Basis

We process your personal data only when we have a lawful basis. Our lawful basis for processing customer data is primarily performance of contract. We use consent as a lawful basis for direct marketing and promotional activities. Where you have consented to a particular processing, you have a right to withdraw the consent at any time.

With the exception of not being able to opt-out of certain correspondence from us, including messages relating to your account transactions and security. You may be contacted by Asexualise Academy in connection with your relationship to us as a customer, or as a follow-up.

Providing you our Services

Usage and Analytics

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and click-stream data. We use this information, which does not track individual users, to analyse trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Asexualise Academy will not use this information collected to market directly to a specific person.

We currently use Google Analytics to collect information anonymously and report website trends without identifying individual visitors as well as analytics from within the WordPress dashboard. We use these for analytics and measurement to understand how our services are used. For example, we analyse data about your visits to our sites to do things like optimize courses, product, and service creation, and to study the effectiveness of our communications with our customers.

We sometimes use Gravatar for your profile image, such as on our blog that follows you from site to site.

Disclosure of personal information and data usage with third parties and others, for providing you products and services

We may disclose information about you and your contact details to (i) companies within the Asexualise Academy and Asexualise Academy group, for the purposes and subject always to the terms of this Privacy Policy Statement; (ii) in the event that we undergo re-organisation or are sold to a third party, in which case you agree that any personal information we hold about you may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party for the purposes and subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy Statement.

There are times when our servers or third party applications, also automatically collect personal information when you access one of our products and services. This data is recorded in log files and includes your IP address. To give you a seamless experience, for example, by filling automatically your information (such as your name, email id) from one Asexualise Academy product, when you sign up for an account on a different product or service, or make an additional purchase. This includes payment processors too.

  • Invanto. For hosting courses, products and services, and processing payments.
  • Payment Gateway companies, such as Stripe and PayPal etc. for Payment processing.
  • Google Analytics for Data analysis.
  • Mailchimp, Gmail and Convert Fox, for marketing and email services; Chat and Support.
  • Advertising services (including but not limited to retargeted advertising).
  • CloudFlare for SSL, data protection encryption.

Within the above categories of third parties, we may share data with other third parties such as AWS for Data Centre services.

These third-party service providers may access your personal information and are required to use it solely for the purpose of the requested service.

Asexualise Academy may also be obliged to disclose your personal information to meet any legal or regulatory requirements (for example to comply with a court order or to prevent fraud or unauthorised access to our site, or your account), or obligations in accordance with applicable law.

By providing personal information to us through our websites, you understand and consent to the collection, maintenance, processing, and transfer of such information in and to all third party companies.

DISCLAIMER

Asexualise Academy sometimes posts third party links on our website, such as in our shop, or on our blog, within our Asexualise Academy Tribe emails, and other communications, to products that may be of interest to you. These may include affiliate links, which means we may receive some monetary compensation (like a commission), if a purchase is made through them. This does not affect the price you pay for the item. Once you click through that link, such as to Amazon, and are sent to the respective site, Asexualise Academy’s Privacy Policy will not be applicable to that site, and their own will come into force, along with their own terms and conditions, and we will have no control over any further data you may share and we are no longer responsible for that data or what happens to it. Other people, not us, control these platforms and we have no control over the contents of third party websites, and we accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. You should review their terms and conditions and privacy policies and contact them if you have any concerns over the data they may process and store about you, or if you have a problem with something you purchased from them.

Social media, blogs, reviews

Any social media posts or comments you send to us (on the Asexualise Academy or associated pages and groups, or other Asexualise Academy group of businesses Facebook pages, for instance), will be shared under the terms of the relevant social media platform (e.g. Facebook / Twitter) on which they are written – and could be made public (unless in a private Facebook group as controlled by Facebook’s own data controllers, security, settings, and provisions). Other people, not us, control these platforms. We are not responsible for this kind of sharing. We recommend you should review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the social media platforms you use. That way, you will understand how they will use your information, what information relating to you they will place in the public domain, and how you can stop them from doing so if you are unhappy about it.

Any blog, review, or other posts or comments you make about us or to us, our products and services, on any of our blogs, websites, reviews, or user community services such as public forums, will be shared with all other members of that service and the public at large. How long do we keep your information for?

To make sure we meet our legal data protection and privacy obligations, we only hold on to your information for as long as we actually need it for the purposes we acquired it for in the first place.

Data Retention Policy

Asexualise Academy will retain our customer’s data in accordance with our Customer’s instructions or in accordance with our default terms and conditions. Generally, we store personal data until it is no longer necessary to provide our Products and Services, or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first.

Account Deletion

When your account is deleted, some or all of your information may still remain visible to others, including but not limited to, any information that has been: (a) incorporated into others’ comments, other User’s content, postings, including but not limited to Course comments; (b) copied, stored or disseminated by other Users; (c) shared or disseminated by You or others such as in a Public Posting; or (d) posted on a Third-Party Platform. Asexualise Academy is not able and/or obligated to remove any of Your information from a Third-Party Platform.

Even after You delete Your Account or Your Account is terminated, we may retain Your information for as long as we have a legitimate purpose to do so and in accordance with applicable law. In addition, your information may not be deleted from servers of the Third-Party Platform You use to access Our Services. We may retain backup copies of your information on our servers or databases (and/or any authorized third-party servers or databases We use) for legitimate purposes such as assist with any legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our agreements. Such information may be disclosed pursuant to this Privacy Policy regardless of whether Your Account is deleted or terminated.

Asexualise Academy has taken strong measures to protect the security of your personal information and to ensure that your choices for its intended use are honored. We take strong precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

When you place orders or access your personal account information, you’re utilizing a secure socket layer SSL, which encrypts your personal information before it’s sent over the Internet. SSL is one of the safest encryption algorithm technologies available.

Asexualise Academy protects the security of your personal information and respects your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, loss, destruction or alteration, and take every step we can to ensure your information stays safe. This is why we chose Invantofor Our own, and Our User, courses, products and services, hosting. Although Asexualise Academy is hosted with Just host and it’s root files are built on WordPress, we use security plugins such as Wordfence, and all information is processed through CloudFlare servers who encrypt it using https technology and they have inbuilt firewalls providing extra protection. And most importantly, AsexualiseAcademy.com has it’s own subdomain within Invanto, which is mapped to AsexualiseAcademy.com, so all data pertaining to the courses, products and services that go through Invanto, benefit from all of their high levels of security, including a similar https technology, and in the event the WordPress site was ever hacked, which all procedures are in place to prevent that happening, your data would remain safe within that subdomain of Invanto (subject to their own security procedures and systems, working correctly and keeping your data safe), where they are stored, and you could still access that subdomain. Please note, as Invanto in a third party which Asexualise Academy uses, we cannot be held liable or responsible for any failure or security breach of our customers and Users, within their own platform and the subdomain on their site.

To quote Invanto’s own Security Policy effective on 25/05/2018:

Asexualise Academy uses a web host in the United States, and also via a third party (Invanto), stores information about Our Products and Services and Users, on AWS (Amazon Web Services) servers, located in the United States. If You are using the Services from outside the United States and the European Union, please know the data and personal information You submit will be transferred to the United States or other countries. By submitting Your data and/or using Our Products and Services, you consent to the transfer, storing, and processing of Your data in and to the United States.

Asexualise Academy offers European Union Model Clauses, also known as Standard Contractual Clauses, to meet the adequacy and security requirements for our Customers that operate in the European Union, and other international transfers of our customer’s data. These clauses are contractual commitments between parties transferring personal data, binding them to protect the privacy and security of the data.

Privacy Support and Changes to this Policy!

Asexualise Academy reserves the right to amend or modify this Privacy Policy statement at any time and in response to changes in applicable data protection and privacy legislation. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post the changes on our website so you know what information we collect and how we use it. So make sure to review this Privacy Policy periodically. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will tell you.
